As a senior manager at one of the industry’s leading computer and electronic firms, Tim Buchholtz pursued success and what he felt to be God’s ordained balance between career, family and serving the local church. When revival came to his home church in suburban Chicago, however, Tim quickly found God’s plan for success had nothing to do with his career.
In May of 1995, while praying together at the altar, God spoke to Tim and his wife Beverly saying, “My hand is upon you - I am calling you forth as full time ministers for Me”. They made a commitment that no matter what the cost, they would go wherever and do whatever God had destined for them. They began to prepare for this ministry by completing their ministerial studies with Berean University. In June of 1997 they launched into a full time itinerant ministry with the Assemblies of God spreading revival fire as evangelists, as well as equipping others for the work of the Lord through workshops and seminars.
Today, the call of God has directed Tim and Beverly to the West Florida area where they are planting and directing training centers throughout the southeast. As Nationally Appointed AG U.S. Missionaries they are helping men and women prepare to answer the call of God through the West Florida District School of Ministry. In August of 2007 they planted a new church in the Tallahassee area with 12 launch team members. Together they plan to touch their community with the love of Christ.
Beverly shared, “Our passion for the lost has grown even more intense. God has assured us that by reproducing ourselves through the training centers and the church plant, even more souls can be brought into the kingdom of God than we could have ever reached on our own”. Tim says, “In the business world I enjoyed being a part of the movers and shakers. Now, as a minister for God, I take great joy in molding and shaping Kingdom movers and shakers!”
